Raeya Garcia (she/her) was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Austin, Texas. She began her theatre journey at 12 years old as an actress but soon learned that her passions lie backstage.

From there, Raeya worked at ZACH Theatre (Austin, TX) as a production assistant for their Pre-Professional Company and Lees Mc-Rae Summer Theatre (Banner Elk, NC) as an assistant stage manager on Matilda the Musical. She also worked as an assistant stage manager for Totem Pole Playhouse (Fayetteville, PA) and a production stage manager/assistant stage manager for Interlakes Summer Theatre (Meredith, NH) this past summer.

Currently, she is a junior at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (UC CCM) pursuing a BFA in Stage Management. While at CCM she has been provided with many opportunities to grow and hone her managerial skills. She is always eager to learn new strategies and adapt practices to create a more equitable environment.
